However, in September 2022, he was diagnosed with slow-progressing lymphoma and began experimental treatment.

However, in 2023, the actor’s family stopped the treatment process. Alain’s eldest son, Anthony Delon, reacted on Instagram,
“At 87 years old, the progression of lymphoma like his is very slow, and this treatment […] was shortening his life and disrupting his vital signs, particularly his kidneys, which were seriously damaged.

After about six months of his everyday life in January 2024, Delon was reportedly in poor health. He then started living a reclusive lifestyle at his La Brûlerie estate in Douchy, France.
The timeless actor breathed his last breath on August 18, 2024, at his home in Douchy.
