The pictures of Christian Angulo and Mason Schermerhorn celebrating their 14th birthdays on social media were heart-wrenching. They had their loving parents around them.
In a mass sh*oting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, two 14-year-old students and two teachers were k*lled.

The victims have been identified as Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14-year-old students, along with teachers Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie.
Nine others, including eight students and one teacher, were wounded and are expected to recover.
Lyela Sayerath, a junior at the school, said she was sitting next to the suspect, Colt Gray, in algebra class just minutes before he started the heinous act.
She told CNN that Colt left the classroom at 9:45 a.m., about half an hour before the active shooter alerts went off.
Christian Angulo’s Family Has Set Up A GoFundMe Donation
The family has started a GoFundMe to cover the costs of Christian Angulo’s funeral and to give him a burial.
His sister, Lisette Angulo, shared that Christian, just 14 years old, was a sweet and caring boy loved by many.
His sudden demise has left them devastated, and they’re facing unexpected funeral expenses.
May God give strength to all the families and especially to the families of the deceased. And we hope that this tragedy that unfortunately continues to happen is to take more seriously the use of uncontrolled weapons that we have in the country.

Christian Angulo Had Changed His Seats With Tyler Before The Incident
One of the parents of Apalachee High School students, Amanda Sutton, shared that her son, Tyler, was in Christian’s seat on 4th September, but they switched seats at school the next morning.

She is heartbroken and asking for prayers for Christian Angulo’s family.
Similarly, another parent, Marina Rutherford, contacted Amanda Sutton, saying she might have talked to Amanda’s daughter at her son’s school earlier that day.
Rutherford expressed her sorrow about the situation and was relieved to hear that Amanda’s son, Tyler, was okay. She promised to keep their family in her prayers.

- A special education teacher, David Phenix, was the first to be identified. He was shot in the hip and foot but managed to survive the incident.
- Photos showed students running out onto the campus while panicked parents hurried to find their children. One mother described the scene outside the school as complete ‘chaos.’
