They have three biological children, three stepchildren, and one grandchild, Richie.
Because of her job, she was trying to move one of her daughters, Richie, to Modesto in 2023 so she could see them more often.
Before she married, she was a single parent with three kids, two of whom had special needs. She moved around to find better special education programs for her children.
Cesar Alvarado-Gil has been the Chief Campus Counsel at the University of California, Merced, since February 2024.
He also serves as General Counsel for the Mount Diablo Unified School District, a role he’s held since December 2019.
Previously, he was a lecturer at UC Berkeley Law from 2015 to 2019.
Cesar has extensive legal experience from his time as a partner at Archer Norris and as an attorney at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP.
In addition to his job, he is often seen supporting his wife in her campaign activities.
In 2022, Marie Alvarado-Gil shared that she and her husband, Cesar, had a great time in Patterson over the weekend and thanked all the volunteers who helped organize the event.

Cesar Alvarado-Gil wrote a letter to Tim, addressing him as the husband of Marie Alvarado-Gil, who was running for State Senate.
