Imane Khelif Failed The Gender Eligibility Test

Imane Khelif is making headlines online, and many questions have been asked about her physicality.

One of the online sources claims Khelif is identified as transgender. Despite all the comments, Imane has not opened her mouth yet.

Furthermore, fans use social media platforms to support Imane. They want her to focus on her game and ignore all the comments and insults.

One of the Reddit user commented,

That’s not the first time they have attacked her; she’s a pro. She knows how to act.

While another wrote,

Don’t hesitate to show her your positive support on Instagram, where she’s active.

The IOC permitted Imane Khelif and another boxer, Lin Yu-ting, to compete in the game with specific criteria and regulations, which became the subject of controversy and criticism.

The new decision evoked mixed reactions. The captain, Caitlin Parker, said XY-chromosome fighters should not be allowed to compete.

He further mentioned it is dangerous for combat sports to play against them. Now, Khelif has fulfilled eligibility requirements and possesses female passports.

According to UNICEF, Imane’s father, a welder who worked in the Sahara desert, didn’t approve of boxing for girls.

She was also disqualified from last year’s world championships in Delhi. The International Boxing Association decided to throw her off due to the biochemical test for gender eligibility.

She was disqualified just hours before her fight against Yang Liu of China, noting her elevated levels of testosterone failed to meet the eligibility measures.

Moreover, Imane already had the opportunity to fight women at the Paris Olympics.

As said earlier, she is receiving mixed reactions online regarding the decision. Many seem happy and congratulate her, while others justify the decision as unfair to other competitors.

Currently, the amateur boxer might be focused on her fight and is giving time to her training.

Recently, from the Instagram account of 7na+, a video was posted dedicated to Imane with the caption,

“Conspired and denied a world championship final. Get to know the story of the heroine Iman Khalif, who said that her main goal is to hear an oath in Paris.”
