Life in the Doghouse tells the inspiring and uplifting life stories of Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta and the remarkable work they do at Danny & Ron’s Rescue, based out of their home in South Carolina. What began as a side project to their horse training work, grew rapidly after Hurricane Katrina hit the South, which dramatically impacted the number of shelter dogs in desperate need for homes. Ten years and 10,000 dogs later, their unique community-based approach to life and dog rescue will capture hearts and inspire millions to make the right choices and adopt from shelters when adding a new canine to their families. The film gives a dog’s-eye view of Danny and Ron’s Rescue as the couple welcomes up to 75 abused and abandoned dogs to live with them in their home, ensuring they are in a comfortable living environment until they can find their forever home.
Co-presented with The Front Street Animal Shelter who will be hosting a pet adoption event to happen in front of The Crest Theatre on Saturday, October 13 from 11:30AM-3:00PM!
