ShowNo Towel Valued $200K When Made Deal Of $75K With Shark Tank, Lori Greiner

Show No Towel's deal with Shark Tank did not last for long time.

ShowNo Towel was a business entrepreneurship that gained popularity after appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank season 3.

People learned about Show No Towel when episode 4 of Shark Tank season 3 aired on February 10, 2012.

Highlights

  • Shelly Ehler founded a business startup, ShowNo Towel, to help children change their swimsuits and clothes.
  • The business managed to make a deal of $75K with 25% equity in the Shark Tank.
  • Show No Towel went out of business in August 2015 following its massive failure in the market.

ShowNo Towel is a versatile beach and bath towel that functions as a towel, cover-up, and changing towel all in one. Makers confirmed that it will provide convenience for beach-goers and swimmers.

In its initial days of business, Show No Towel had a limited run at two Disney World Water Parks, Legoland and Seaworld.

Shark Tank Lori Greiner Made Deal Of Investing $75K To ShowNo Towel

Shelly Ehler founded Show No Towel in April 2010. She is the mother of two boys, a wife, a life coach, and a school teacher.

Ehler came up with the idea of Show No after having trouble changing her boys in and out of swimsuits on the beach.

ShowNo was founded with a small investment. However, she needed more capital to flourish. Thus, she chose Shark Tank as a wonderful opportunity to accumulate money for her business.

In the Shark Tank stage, Shelly offered 25% equity in exchange for a $50k investment in ShowNo Towels.

Shelly managed to land an additional $25K from Lori Grenier and sealed the deal with a $75,000 investment with 25% equity for Lori.

In mid-2012, ShowNo made its way to the Disney waterparks and signed a contract with the two busy Disney water parks.

A single ShowNo towel retailed for $19.99 and was on most of the Disney Store’s shelves at the time.

Furthermore, as mentioned in Shelly Ehler’s blog, ShowNo Towel was also sold in Legoland, SeaWorld, Six Flags Magic Mountains, and Raging Waters.

Similarly, ShowNo Towel was also featured on Good Morning America.

ShowNo Towel Went Out Of Business After Five Years

The drastic downfall of ShowNo Towel started in late 2014. On her Blog, Shelly pointed out that,

I used to handmake all the towels, but when the demand for ShowNo increased, I contacted a manufacturing company to have them made. In 2013, I manufactured my product in China, and it was a complete disaster.

Disney Waterpark refused to continue the deal and terminated the contract after several transactions.

Similarly, the deal with Shark Tank turned into a massive failure, and the owner of ShowNo Towel decided to Throw the Towel on August 15.

On March 20, 2019, Shelly mentioned in her blog that the business resumed, but the agenda did not include money.

She wants to blog towels again for people’s comfort and convenience and wrote,

This time around, I am only listening to my heart. I don’t care that there might not be much money to make in this space. I don’t care that it might not be a HUGE market. What I care about is having a product that is helpful to those who struggle.

Shelly Ehler

ShowNo made $15,000 annually in sales in its founding days but heightened to about $15-20K in the three months in uprising days.

As of 2024, ShowNo Towels’s net worth is unavailable, as it went out of business in 2015.

However, when it appeared on Shark Tank, ShowNo Towel’s net worth was $200k.
