In late 2017, Liz Kamlet attended a show by a singer-songwriter in Los Angeles, which her friend suggested.
Although unfamiliar with the artist, Liz was impressed by his achievements.
She noticed the venue was half full at the show despite his history of sold-out performances.
Feeling moved by his comment about declining CD sales, she bought all the CDs for $800 and took photos and videos of the performance.
A week later, she posted the photos on Facebook with filters and tagged the artist.
He reached out directly, which was unusual, and invited her to meet in LA.
After hearing positive feedback about him, Liz agreed.
During their meeting, the artist praised her work and asked if she did similar work for others.
Liz offered to work for him for free for a year, and she helped build his website, set up social media, and manage streaming.
This led to Liz becoming his manager and assisting other musicians. What started as a simple show she nearly skipped changed her career path, and the artist who made it possible was Stephen Bishop.
After four years of dating, the duo married in 2021.

Liz headed to Colorado for her Bachelor’s degree right after high school and collected many guitars along the way.

She also holds an MA in Music Industry Administration (Music Business) from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA in Management and Digital Media Design from Harvard University.
