While enjoying sushi and drinks on the rooftop, they realized their waiter was the same person who served them on their first date.

Then, to Danielle’s surprise, she found her engagement ring hidden in the sushi, and Aisha proposed to her.

They celebrated with friends at Napoleon’s, ending the night happily together.

Their wedding was the first lesbian wedding ever covered by Essence magazine.
