Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was born on October 13, 1989, in New York City, United States, to her father, Sergio Ocasio-Roman, and her mother, Blanca Ocasio-Cortez.
Her father was an architect who tragically passed away in September 2008, just before Alexandria started her sophomore year at Boston University.
